Orchestration - Music Prep
Joseph is a film composer known for creating haunting and ethereal atmospheres and melodies. He recently scored Final Girl Halloween for director Andrew Arguello, and Horror in the High Desert, the inaugural film in the found-footage series for director Dutch Marich. He also scored Marich's previous film Reaptown.
He has been an exhibitor as both musician and artist in curated art shows, his most recent work, The Dreaming Forest, can be heard at the Sturt Haaga Gallery at Descanso Gardens through January 26th, 2025, on display as part of the show The Days of Reverie. Former exhibits include his music for Five Elements (The Elements - Northeastern Nevada Museum of Art), Sanctuary Songs (Sanctuary of the Aftermath - Angel's Gate Cultural Center), and the Arcade Fantasy (Arcade of Hypermodernity - Studio Channel Islands). He was featured on the Helix Collective's concert Pulling Back the Curtain, with his chamber piece Last Ghost in the House.
As one of the lead orchestrators at Joy Music House, he has worked on several features and television series including Speak No Evil (Danny Bensi and Saunder Juriaans, composers), Cobweb (Sofia Degli Alessandri, composer), and the Oscar-nominated score for Minari (Emile Mosseri, composer).
His music for the short film Wish was awarded best score at the San Diego 48 hour film festival. Joseph has a degree in oboe performance from Boise State University, enjoys creating art in various media, and works in a studio covered in fur in Los Angeles.
